JOB SUMMARY

Structural Project Coordinator will support the daily functions of all phases of a project within the Structural Engineering Department.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage and maintain schedules, appointments and assist with project deliverables.
  • Maintain databases and project spreadsheets.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications and presentations as needed.
  • Assist with Request for proposals (RFPs)
  • Assist with preparation of Project Specifications
  • Communicate with Document Control group in reference to project documents.
  • Maintain accurate project records.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director of Structural Engineering.
  • Communicate with Project Management team in reference to project schedules and deliverables.
  • Perform miscellaneous office administration tasks.
  • Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.

PHYSICAL

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
  • This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
