Job description

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic students for the 2027 summer intern program at Howmet Engine Systems. The program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, seminars, networking events, speaker training, and a project selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Engine Systems will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any roles, and it’s Howmet Aerospace’s goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Interests in Environmental, Health, and Safety related fields of study
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed and team environment.
  • Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above

Hourly Range: $23-25/hour approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
