Job description

Triangle Surgery Center is seeking an experienced perioperative professional to provide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for our Operating Room department. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated healthcare leader to support clinical excellence, physician satisfaction, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of surgical services operations. The individual will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, vendors, and leadership to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Candidates
  • Current unrestricted North Carolina RN license
  • BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Minimum three years of perioperative experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Surgical Technologist Candidate Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Current CST certification preferred
  • BLS required
  • Minimum three years of perioperative experience
  • Prior leadership, charge, coordinator, or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinating daily Operating Room activities and staffing
  • Supporting efficient case flow, block utilization, and productivity
  • Assisting with staff onboarding, training, and development
  • Collaborating with physicians and vendors regarding equipment and supply needs
  • Monitoring inventory, instrumentation, and equipment availability
  • Participating in performance improvement and quality initiatives
  • Supporting compliance with accreditation, infection prevention, and patient safety standards
  • Addressing operational concerns and facilitating problem resolution
  • Participating in department and leadership meetings
  • Serving as a resource to staff and providers
  • Demonstrate leadership and communication skills
  • Possess excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Be highly collaborative and team-oriented
  • Understand perioperative workflow and patient safety principles
  • Build positive relationships with physicians and staff
  • Thrive in a dynamic ambulatory surgery environment
  • Maintain a commitment to quality, service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Performs other duties as assigned
