Talent Acquisition Coordinator
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is a member of the U.S. Talent Acquisition team based at Avient’s global headquarters in Avon Lake, Ohio. The role primarily supports the Early Talent Program Manager by coordinating university recruiting events and activities that attract, hire, onboard, and engage early-career talent. The coordinator also provides administrative and project support to Avient’s broader Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence.
Work Schedule
This part-time, on-site position requires approximately 25 hours per week, scheduled weekdays during standard business hours.
University Recruiting Events
- Register for university career fairs and develop and track event schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate the ordering, organization, shipment, and timely collection of university career fair materials and kits.
- Plan and track on-campus student engagement events in partnership with university career services, student leadership boards, and external vendors.
- Create QR codes and format digital materials to support recruiting events and outreach.
- Maintain an organized inventory of early talent supplies and support materials, including banners, tablecloths, handouts, event assets, and giveaways.
Candidate and Program Coordination
- Post positions on Handshake and other university job boards as needed.
- Organize candidate interview schedules, including travel coordination, agenda preparation, conference room reservations, résumé distribution, and debrief meeting scheduling. Manage recruiting invoices and candidate interview expenses.
- Plan and clearly communicate logistics for headquarters department meetings, intern and co-op onboarding and offboarding, and summer intern events.
- Coordinate preboarding activities for interns and co-ops, including equipment provisioning and ordering first-day materials.
Recruiting Operations and Content Support
- Audit Avient job descriptions frequently. Ensure format, grammar, spelling and consistency for each job description.
- Manage recruiting invoices and candidate interview expenses
- Support hourly hiring event administration as needed
- Maintain and update Talent Acquisition intranet, and Teams support sites as needed. Ensure the information is accurate and relevant.
- Participate in process improvement projects such as candidate engagement, field facing tool kits, analytics & dashboards, and other projects as assigned
- Manage Tier 0 internal HR Help Desk Talent Acquisition tickets
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline with concentration in human resources or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or related field required
- Experience working with university/colleges in a recruiting capacity strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Oracle Recruiting Cloud and collegiate job boards
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite, particularly Excel
- A combination of strong communication skills, creativity, and strong critical thinking
- Strong ability to stay organized and handle multiple priorities in a calm, efficient manner
- Ability to develop strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive recruiting and employee information.
- Must be available to work on-site at Avient Global Headquarters in Avon Lake, Ohio
- Must be able to lift objects <50 lbs.
