This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Recruiter — IT & AI Staff Augmentation based in United States.
This is a hands-on technical recruiting role focused on identifying and placing experienced technology professionals across the U.S. market. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake and sourcing through candidate selection, offer acceptance, and onboarding coordination. The role combines deep technology recruiting knowledge with strong stakeholder management, candidate engagement, and commercial awareness. You will partner closely with account managers and hiring stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver qualified talent for staff augmentation opportunities. Your work will directly contribute to successful client placements while building long-term technology talent pipelines. The position is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced staffing environment and understands the nuances of U.S. technology and AI talent markets.
Accountabilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for U.S.-based technology positions supporting client staffing and staff augmentation requirements, from requisition intake through candidate placement and onboarding.
- Conduct detailed intake discussions with account managers and hiring stakeholders to clarify technical requirements, compensation parameters, work arrangements, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
- Source active and passive technology candidates through professional networks, job boards, Boolean searches, referrals, direct outreach, applicant tracking systems, and other recruiting channels.
- Screen candidates against technical and business requirements, assessing relevant experience, communication skills, location, compensation expectations, availability, work authorization, and overall interest in the opportunity.
- Evaluate candidates' technical backgrounds and identify areas that require additional technical validation before submission to clients.
- Verify work authorization and sponsorship requirements in accordance with established recruiting processes and U.S. employment considerations.
- Prepare accurate and compelling candidate submissions that clearly communicate qualifications, relevant experience, compensation expectations, availability, and alignment with the opportunity.
- Coordinate interviews, prepare candidates for client discussions, gather feedback, communicate next steps, and maintain engagement throughout the recruitment process.
- Support compensation and pay-rate discussions and facilitate offer acceptance within approved parameters.
- Maintain candidate engagement through the start date and coordinate onboarding activities with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of U.S.-based technology professionals to support both immediate and anticipated hiring needs.
- Keep applicant tracking system records accurate and current while providing regular visibility into recruiting activity, pipeline progress, placements, and recruiting performance.
- Consistently work toward agreed recruiting and placement targets while maintaining a high-quality candidate and client experience.
- Bring 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, including at least 2 years recruiting U.S.-based technology or AI professionals within an IT staffing, staff augmentation, or comparable environment.
- Demonstrate a successful track record of placing technology professionals into contract or staff augmentation assignments and managing multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Have practical knowledge of technology roles and skill sets across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, data, cybersecurity, QA, forward-deployed engineering, IT support, and related technical disciplines.
- Be able to distinguish meaningful hands-on technical experience from general familiarity with technologies, allowing you to assess candidate suitability accurately.
- Demonstrate strong sourcing expertise, including Boolean search, passive candidate engagement, direct outreach, professional networking, and talent pipeline development.
- Have experience discussing U.S. compensation expectations, hourly pay rates, candidate availability, contract assignments, and other commercial considerations with technology professionals.
- Possess working knowledge of U.S. work authorization and sponsorship considerations within the recruiting process.
- Have hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and professional sourcing platforms.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with candidates, account managers, hiring stakeholders, and clients.
- Be comfortable working onsite in Houston, Texas.
- An established network of U.S.-based technology professionals is highly desirable.
- Experience recruiting across multiple U.S. states and time zones is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Vendor Management System (VMS) environments and workflows is preferred.
- Experience with Center of Excellence, Build-Operate-Transfer, or similar technology delivery models is a plus.
- Previous experience in staffing environments with placement-based commission structures is advantageous.
- $70,000–$75,000 USD annual base salary, depending on relevant experience.
- Additional 10–15% commission opportunity.
