Summary

The Publications Department is responsible for the quality and currency of manuals, forms, and other Company publications, and a variety of technical documents used within Everts Air. The Pubs Department has the authority to establish and modify the policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the currency, distribution, and availability of those manuals and publications. This position will work closely with all other departments involved with the development of Company publications and management of technical content used by the Company.

Compensation: Starting at $25.00 p/hr

Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide daily support to revise and maintain the Company manuals within the manual system:
    1. Maintain the revision cycles of manuals for EAC, EAA, and EAF.
    2. Maintain the currency of all electronic Company manuals posted on the Company cloud.
    3. Construct manuals, to include technical writing.

  2. Maintain the master and historical reference for all hard-copy manuals and related documents.
  3. Maintain Shared Review Access Documents for Company manuals.

    1. Provide training support for Adobe Shared Review users.

  4. Responsible for revision, obtaining signatures of acceptance, and distribution of FAA-issued accepted or approved manuals.
  5. Coordinate the printing and distribution of required paper copies of manuals and related documents.

    1. Monitor the return of Transmittal Revision Sheets to ensure paper copies of manuals and related documents have been updated.

  6. Maintain the web-based manufacturer manuals library, updating the library as needed based on manufacturer revisions and approved requests.

    1. Coordinate the purchase of new and continuing manufacturer subscriptions with the Chief Inspector and Directors of Maintenance.
    2. Provide training support for Technical Publications Portal users.

  7. Serve on the Airworthiness Directive (AD) Committee in the Aviation Technical Writer role.

    1. Maintain and update the library of Airworthiness Directive Compliance Checklists (ADCCs) for all aircraft types in the Company fleet.
    2. Draft new ADCCs as directed, and coordinate approval for those ADCCs with the Chief Inspector.
    3. Provide new or current ADCCs in a timely manner to Maintenance Control or other Maintenance personnel as requested for aircraft inspections.

  8. Work with all departments to generate, edit, and revise Company forms.

    1. Maintain the master and historical references for all forms.
    2. Maintain the currency of electronic forms posted on the Company cloud.
    3. Maintain a database for all Company forms.

  9. Create, update, and maintain aircraft libraries, and perform audits on those libraries for Company and designate technical manuals in a timely manner, as requested, and update items as needed.
  10. Perform annual audits for all Company manuals, controlled manuals, and technical manuals maintained in manual holders, maintenance, and manufacturer’s manuals libraries for applicability to aircraft, accuracy, and currency. Resolve audit findings for any affected publications.
  11. Perform annual audits of the Company Forms folder for accuracy and currency and resolve audit findings for any affected forms.
  12. Assist employees with application support and related IT issues.
