The role:

We are looking for a Manager of Crypto to join our Corporate Treasury team. This role will help define how SoFi manages crypto strategic balance sheet capability. The primary focus is on liquidity management, reserve sufficiency, and wallet strategy. Over time, this leader will help establish the infrastructure and policies needed to support potential future crypto activities such as lending, staking, and responsible yield generation.

Critical to success in this role is the ability to independently drive complex projects forward and exercise strong problem-solving skills in an evolving environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Own SoFi’s crypto treasury and liquidity management strategy, with a primary focus on ensuring sufficient crypto assets are available to meet customer withdrawal demand and operational funding needs.
  • Develop forecasting models for crypto withdrawal funding needs, including asset-level liquidity demand and gas funding requirements.
  • Establish frameworks to manage SoFi Digital Assets (SOFID) reserves, including reserve sizing, monitoring, reporting, and escalation protocols.
  • Define and optimize cold storage vs. hot wallet liquidity strategy, balancing customer experience, security, capital efficiency, and operational resilience.
  • Evaluate and develop analytical approaches to model and evaluate the liquidity value and stressed outflows of tokenized deposits.
  • Partner with product, operations, finance, risk, and engineering to build scalable liquidity processes and controls for crypto asset management.
  • Design the treasury approach needed to support future products and capabilities, including crypto lending, staking, and other reserved-asset use cases.
  • Evaluate and help shape future yield generation strategies for SoFi’s crypto balance sheet, with a strong focus on risk-adjusted return, liquidity, regulatory considerations, and capital preservation.
  • Build policies, governance, and analytics to monitor crypto asset positions, liquidity buffers, concentration risk, and stress scenarios.
  • Create reporting for executive leadership on liquidity exposure, reserve sufficiency, wallet allocation, and strategic balance sheet opportunities.
  • Serve as a key thought partner in defining SoFi’s long-term crypto asset management strategy.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in treasury, liquidity management, capital markets, digital assets, or related financial leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of crypto market structure, custody models, wallet infrastructure, liquidity management, and reserve frameworks.
  • Experience forecasting and managing liquidity across multiple crypto assets, including operational funding needs and stress scenarios.
  • Strong knowledge of hot wallet / cold storage tradeoffs, custodial architecture, and security considerations.
  • Familiarity with crypto-native and institutional use cases including lending, staking, collateral management, and yield strategies.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate data into liquidity decisions and policy frameworks.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, risk, operations, product, and engineering teams.
  • Executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly with senior leadership on strategy, risk, and capital allocation.
  • A practical, build-oriented mindset with comfort operating in an evolving product and regulatory environment.
