ABOUT THIS ROLE

Orchestra is seeking a Vice President, Paid Media to join our growing Paid Media team. This senior leadership role will help shape and deliver integrated, audience-first paid media strategies for clients across Orchestra’s portfolio, spanning consumer & lifestyle, B2B and technology, nonprofit & philanthropy, higher education, arts & culture, sports, real estate, and public affairs and advocacy.

The Vice President will serve as a senior strategic partner to clients and internal teams, overseeing sophisticated paid media engagements from strategy and planning through activation, optimization, measurement and reporting. You will translate client business and communications objectives into thoughtful, channel-agnostic media strategies designed to reach the right audiences and drive measurable impact.

This role will also play an important leadership role within Orchestra’s growing Paid Media practice. Working closely with the Head of Paid Media, you will help lead and develop team members, establish best practices, ensure consistently high-quality work across accounts, and contribute to the continued evolution and growth of Orchestra’s paid media capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines deep paid media expertise with strong client leadership, people management and an entrepreneurial mindset. You are equally comfortable advising senior clients, developing an integrated media strategy, mentoring team members, troubleshooting a campaign challenge, and identifying opportunities to grow an existing client relationship.

Role location: This role is hybrid, three-times per week based in our New York, NY, Boston, MA, or Washington, D.C. offices. We will also consider remote candidates. (east coast hours)

  • Develop audience-first, channel-agnostic paid media strategies, translating client business and communications goals into media approaches, channel recommendations, investment strategies and measurable KPIs.
  • Serve as a senior paid media counselor to clients and internal account leaders, confidently presenting recommendations, performance insights and proactive opportunities.
  • Oversee integrated media planning across channels including paid social, paid search, programmatic display/video, CTV, streaming audio, OOH, print, publisher partnerships and other emerging opportunities as appropriate to client objectives.
  • Guide teams through campaign planning, activation, optimization and measurement, ensuring work meets Orchestra’s standards for strategy, quality, accuracy and performance.
  • Review media plans, campaign setups, reporting and strategic deliverables, providing clear direction and actionable feedback to team members.

  • Stay current on changes across advertising platforms, privacy and measurement, emerging media opportunities and industry best practices, translating developments into actionable guidance for clients and colleagues.
  • Help evolve Orchestra’s paid media products, processes, tools and points of view as the practice grows.

At the heart of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) lies a revolutionary approach to artistic leadership that sets it apart in the classical music world. Unlike traditional orchestras governed by a single music director, the SPCO operates under a unique musician-led model. In this collaborative environment, the orchestra’s virtuoso musicians share artistic control, working in tandem with a dynamic roster of Artistic Partners—distinguished conductors and soloists who bring fresh perspectives to the ensemble. This distinctive structure fosters a culture of shared responsibility, creative freedom, and deep artistic engagement, allowing the ensemble to perform a diverse and adventurous repertoire that ranges from Baroque masterpieces to cutting-edge contemporary commissions. The SPCO is deeply committed to the values of accessibility and inclusivity, striving to make world-class classical music available to everyone in the Twin Cities community and beyond. Through innovative initiatives like the 'Concert Membership' program and free tickets for children and students, the orchestra actively breaks down economic barriers to the arts, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder the experience of live music. Furthermore, the SPCO extends its reach globally through its free online Concert Library, a digital platform that allows audiences worldwide to experience their inspiring performances. This dedication to community service, combined with a legacy of artistic excellence that includes a Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance, defines the SPCO’s enduring mission to enrich lives and cultivate a vibrant, inclusive musical community.
