Halloween and New Year's Eve are some of the biggest nights of the year at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. The energy is high, the crowds are ready to celebrate, and our VIP guests expect an experience that feels effortless, personal, and unforgettable.

As a Temporary VIP Host, you'll be at the center of that experience—welcoming VIP guests, anticipating their needs, managing special requests, and making sure every detail is handled with style and professionalism.

🎸 Your Mission

Create an elevated and personalized experience for VIP guests during Halloween and New Year's Eve by delivering exceptional hospitality, anticipating needs, and ensuring every interaction reflects the energy and service standards of Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.

🎤 What You'll Do

✅ Welcome VIP guests with a warm, confident, and personalized approach.

✅ Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned VIP guests throughout the event.

✅ Anticipate guest needs and proactively assist with requests, questions, and special accommodations.

✅ Build genuine connections with guests while maintaining a polished and professional presence.

✅ Coordinate VIP arrivals, seating, table assignments, amenities, and special requests as directed.

✅ Maintain regular communication with Managers, Servers, Bartenders, Security, and other departments to ensure seamless VIP service.

✅ Monitor VIP areas and ensure guests receive attentive, timely, and personalized service.

✅ Respond to guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-first mindset.

✅ Communicate important guest information and special requests accurately to the appropriate team members.

✅ Maintain awareness of event schedules, entertainment, restaurant operations, and VIP programming.

✅ Help create an energetic but controlled environment where guests can celebrate while receiving elevated service.

✅ Protect guest privacy and handle sensitive guest information with discretion.

✅ Assist with special events, promotional activities, and other VIP experiences as directed by management.

✅ Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor throughout every shift.

💎 You're a Great Fit If You…

✨ Have previous VIP hosting, nightlife, restaurant, hotel, event, or guest-service experience.

✨ Are naturally outgoing, personable, and confident engaging with guests.

✨ Know how to read a room and anticipate what guests need before they have to ask.

✨ Can remain composed, professional, and solutions-focused in a high-volume environment.

✨ Communicate clearly and confidently with guests, coworkers, and leadership.

✨ Have strong attention to detail and understand that the little things can make a big impression.

✨ Are comfortable interacting with high-profile, VIP, and repeat guests with discretion and professionalism.

✨ Bring positive energy without losing sight of service standards.

✨ Are flexible and available to work evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, Halloween, and New Year's Eve.

✨ Understand that when you're on the floor, you are part of the Hard Rock experience.

🎓 Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, VIP hosting, nightlife, restaurants, hotels, events, or customer service preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain professional and composed in a high-energy environment.

Ability to handle confidential or sensitive guest information with discretion.

Must maintain a polished appearance and meet professional dress requirements.

Must be available for scheduled Halloween and New Year's Eve events.

💪 Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk throughout an extended shift.

Ability to move throughout guest areas, event spaces, and the property as needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to crowds, music, and elevated noise levels.
