Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP Fintech Sales Executive based in United States.

This is a high-impact, revenue-driving leadership role focused on expanding strategic partnerships across the fintech and embedded finance ecosystem.

You will drive new business with fintechs, marketplaces, and enterprise brands developing innovative financial products and services.

The role combines enterprise sales leadership, complex deal structuring, commercial strategy, and executive-level relationship management.

You will work across compliance, risk, legal, finance, and product teams to turn sophisticated client needs into scalable financial programs.

Your expertise will help ensure partnerships are commercially attractive while remaining aligned with regulatory requirements and risk standards.

The position offers significant influence over pipeline growth, market expansion, and the development of high-value embedded finance partnerships.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced fintech sales leader who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments.

Accountabilities

  • Drive new partner acquisition across fintech companies, marketplaces, and enterprise brands pursuing embedded finance strategies.
  • Build, develop, and manage a high-value sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry networks, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem relationships.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities aligned with growth objectives and market potential.
  • Lead complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles involving founders, C-suite executives, and senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain momentum throughout lengthy sales processes, proactively identifying and resolving internal and external blockers.
  • Own opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation, contracting, and successful partnership execution.
  • Structure and negotiate commercial partnerships, including program design, pricing, revenue-share models, and contractual terms.
  • Translate complex client use cases into scalable sponsor bank program designs covering areas such as card issuing, deposits, and payments.
  • Ensure proposed partnerships align with applicable regulatory requirements and established risk parameters.
  • Act as the primary deal quarterback, coordinating compliance, risk, legal, finance, product, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Drive internal alignment and navigate organizational processes efficiently to accelerate deal timelines and reduce friction.
  • Partner with internal teams to support effective program design and launch readiness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory frameworks, program governance, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Represent the organization within the fintech ecosystem through industry events, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership activities.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior decision-makers across client organizations.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline tracking, forecasting, reporting, and visibility into deal progression, risks, and revenue expectations.
  • Consistently pursue and exceed new business revenue targets while reinforcing the organization as a leading sponsor partner for enterprise fintech programs.
  • Requirements

    • 6+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience in fintech, banking, payments, or Banking-as-a-Service.
    • Proven track record of hunting, developing, and closing complex, high-value partnerships, with multi-million-dollar deals preferred.
    • Direct experience with sponsor bank models, embedded finance, or related program management ecosystems.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as KYC, AML, consumer compliance, and third-party risk, including their implications for commercial deal structures.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders across client organizations and internal cross-functional teams.
    • Exceptional negotiation, commercial strategy, and deal-structuring capabilities.
    • Strong ownership, urgency, resilience, and accountability throughout long and complex sales cycles.
    • Executive presence and confidence engaging founders, C-suite leaders, and senior decision-makers.
    • Strong understanding of API-driven financial infrastructure and modern fintech technology.
    • Ability to manage aggressive revenue targets while maintaining accurate forecasting and disciplined sales operations.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to establish credibility as a strategic advisor within the fintech ecosystem.
    • Ability to balance commercial growth with regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations.
    • Benefits

      • Base salary range of $100,000–$150,000 annually, with actual compensation varying based on location, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
      • Fully remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.
      • Opportunity to work at the intersection of fintech, banking, payments, and embedded finance.
      • High-impact role with direct influence on revenue growth, ecosystem expansion, and strategic partnerships.
      • Exposure to complex enterprise sales cycles and high-value financial infrastructure partnerships.
      • Opportunity to engage directly with founders, C-suite executives, and senior industry stakeholders.
      • Ability to contribute to innovative financial products while working within established regulatory and risk frameworks.
      • Industry-facing opportunities through strategic partnerships, events, and fintech ecosystem engagement.
      • Competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
