Internal Opportunity: Windows Platform Manager

Hybrid schedule preferred, will consider remote schedule

The Windows Platform Manager leads a cross-functional team responsible for delivering Windows-based software platforms that meet customer needs, quality expectations, and business objectives. This role provides leadership and direction across software engineering, operating system engineering, and product management while coordinating activities from requirements through release. The Windows Platform Manager is responsible for managing priorities, supporting team development, balancing technical and business needs, and ensuring successful delivery of platform initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentorship to software engineering, operating system engineering, and product management team members.

  • Partners with product managers, customers, and development teams to define requirements, priorities, and product expectations.

  • Coordinates platform development activities from requirements through release.

  • Manages work assignments, project schedules, resources, dependencies, budgets, and development processes.

  • Balances customer needs, technical feasibility, quality standards, timelines, and available resources.

  • Supports employee development through performance management, coaching, and feedback.

  • Ensures requirements, design, implementation, testing, and release documentation are accurate and up to date.

  • Collaborates with engineering and testing teams to support quality software releases.

  • Reviews technical solutions and contributes to software development efforts as needed.

  • Monitors project risks, defects, resource needs, and requirement changes, escalating issues when appropriate.

  • Oversees product maintenance, defect resolution, compatibility updates, and ongoing platform support.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience required.

  • At least 4 years of experience working in cross-functional teams that include product management, quality assurance, and engineering.

  • At least 3 years of professional experience developing object-oriented software for PC or mobile platforms.
