, South Africa's leading online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Affiliate Program Manager to join our Marketing team in Cape Town.

This position reports to the Head of Performance and Projects

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Program Strategy & Revenue Growth: Define, execute, and scale Takealot’s affiliate roadmap to meet quarterly customer acquisition and revenue targets.
  • Performance Campaign Management: End-to-end management of performance campaigns, aligning affiliate activations with Takealot’s commercial calendar (e.g., Blue Dot Sale, Daily Deals, and peak seasonal events).
  • Partner & Publisher Management: Onboard, engage, and manage relationships with affiliates, content sites, referral partners, and influencer/social networks to drive high-converting traffic.
  • Data Analysis & ROI Optimization: Daily tracking and reporting of campaign metrics (clicks, conversion rate, AOV, CPA, and ROAS). Continually test, measure, and optimize payouts, commissions, and campaign creative.
  • Platform Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations on our affiliate tracking platform, including tracking setup, link generation, creative asset deployment, and publisher payout management.
  • Quality & Brand Safety: Monitor affiliate traffic for quality control. Implement brand safety rules and monitor platforms to guard against fraudulent activity or policy violations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of campaign management experience within a digital or performance marketing team (e.g., managing referral programs, performance social, digital ad campaigns, or partner marketing).
  • Platform Experience: Hands-on experience working directly with an affiliate management or partner tracking platform).
  • Performance Mindset: Proven ability to manage performance budgets, run A/B campaign tests, and analyze digital conversion funnels to drive positive ROI.

  • Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) and Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable working with large datasets to pull actionable campaign insights.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a track record of negotiating placements or partnership deals.

Minimum Required Competencies:

  • Affiliate/Partner Platform Operations: Direct, practical experience navigating and managing an affiliate or partner tracking SaaS platform (e.g., Impact.com, PartnerStack, CJ, Everflow).
  • Web Analytics Proficiency: Competency in tracking conversion funnels, attribution, UTM tracking, and user behavior via platforms like Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Data Manipulation & Reporting: Advanced capability in Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, complex formulas, data transformation) to calculate key metrics like CPA, AOV, ROAS, and CAC.
  • Performance Campaign Execution: Hands-on ability to plan, launch, A/B test, and optimize performance marketing campaigns end-to-end.
  • Partner & Channel Management: Skills in onboarding, managing, and negotiating commercial agreements or commission tiers with traffic partners, digital publishers, or creators.
  • Traffic & Conversion Optimization: Ability to monitor referral traffic mechanics, identify drop-offs in the funnel, and drive conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Traffic Quality & Brand Safety Controls: Knowledge of digital ad compliance, with the ability to identify low-quality referral traffic, policy violations, or ad-fraud risks.
