The Opportunity

We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Regional Marketing Manager to drive Gallagher Security's brand, demand generation, and market development activities across Africa. Based in Johannesburg, this standalone role offers the opportunity to shape regional marketing strategy while leading the delivery of campaigns, communications, events, content, and channel partner programmes that support business growth.

Working closely with regional Sales leadership, Global Marketing, Product Marketing, and key stakeholders, you'll develop and execute marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness, strengthen partner engagement, influence key decision-makers, and generate demand across priority sectors including finance, data centres, mining, government, critical infrastructure, and higher education.

Your role at a glance:

• Develop and deliver the annual Africa marketing plan, aligned with regional business priorities, sales objectives and global marketing direction.
• Identify market opportunities, customer needs, industry trends and competitive activity across South Africa and wider African markets.
• Prioritise activity across South Africa, SADC, East Africa and West Africa based on opportunity, market maturity and business objectives.
• Manage the Africa marketing budget and report on campaign effectiveness, sourced and influenced pipeline, lead quality, engagement and return on investment.
• Plan and deliver Channel Partner events, consultant engagement activities, end-user forums and trade exhibitions, managing logistics, suppliers, sponsorships and communications.
• Develop integrated campaigns across digital, social, content, PR, events and partner channels to drive awareness, engagement, lead generation and pipeline growth.
• Create account-based and sector-focused marketing initiatives alongside Sales, and localise global campaigns for African markets and audiences.
• Drive regional PR, media engagement, thought leadership and social media activity, including customer stories, case studies, articles and presentations.
• Support product, service and business initiative launches across the region.
• Build Channel Partner engagement and growth through joint campaigns, communications, events, enablement resources and marketing tools.
• Strengthen Gallagher’s specification influence through consultant, industry association and stakeholder engagement.
• Use performance insights and changing market conditions to continually optimise marketing activity.

About You

You love turning ideas into action. Equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up your sleeves to deliver, you're a self-starter who thrives in diverse, fast-moving markets. Combining commercial acumen with strong relationship-building skills, you know how to engage stakeholders, navigate complexity, and create marketing initiatives that generate real impact.

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years’ experience in a broad marketing role with responsibility for both strategy and execution.
• A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering regional or multi-market marketing programmes.
• Experience working across South Africa and wider African markets is highly desirable.
• A strong track record of partnering with Sales teams to support demand generation, Channel Partner engagement and business growth.
• Experience managing agencies, suppliers and external marketing partners.
• Confidence using CRM systems, marketing platforms, reporting tools and data to guide decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, project management and stakeholder relationship skills.
• The ability to work independently, influence across functions and cultures, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Experience in technology, security, infrastructure, industrial or channel-led businesses would be an advantage.
