We are looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant with a strong understanding of both accounts payable and receivable processes. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, comfortable with numbers, and capable of working independently. This role will involve journal entries, reconciling accounts, paying bills, receiving payments, and handling collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process and record journal entries
- Pay vendor invoices and track payment due dates
- Receive and apply customer payments accurately
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations
- Follow up on overdue accounts and manage collections
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support other accounting functions as needed

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
