Job Function
Independently performs and coordinates a wide variety of duties for the department, requiring sound judgment and making minor operation decisions on a wide range of existing standard processes and procedures in the Financial Aid Department.
Job Responsibilities
- Will be expected to learn and use College software systems (i.e. Colleague, ImageNow) and Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel and Outlook. Additionally, will be expected to know or learn and use other software packages utilized within the department.
- Provide students with application forms and documents for submission.
- Review documents submitted for accuracy and completeness; review documents to confirm they meet the requirements for the students financial aid situation.
- Review Colleague and ImageNow for all pertinent information to provide students with service and to answer questions.
- Review comment codes on student records and provide necessary forms/documents to the student applicant to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Review communication management letters sent to the student to confirm application status and problem resolution, if necessary.
- Assist students with alternative sources of financial aid to students.
- Review forms and other materials for updates; provide input on day-to-day procedures/processes as it relates to student issues/concerns.
- Attend and provide input at staff meetings.
- Performs clerical activities related to office procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
ASP Assessment Test; four years related experience in customer service and/or financial aid. One year experience may be waived for an Associate Degree.
