We are seeking an Assistant to join our vibrant team at Court Street Christian Childcare Center in [City]. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our mission of providing exceptional care and development for young children, helping to create a safe and engaging environment that promotes their growth and learning.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Support lead teachers in implementing educational activities and lesson plans.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing feedback as needed.
- Collaborate with staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's development.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
- Follow and implement center standard operating procedures and DELC guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be available to work 7a-12p or 7a-2p (pending the needs of the center).
- Applicants 18 years old and older MUST be enrolled in the Central Background Registry prior to starting employment.
- Education in early childhood education is preferred, but not necessary.
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting, helpful. However not mandatory, we will train.
- Heart and patience for children a must.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
- Classroom management skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt activities for diverse learning needs.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth.

Pay: $15.20 - $16.00 per hour
