The Nutrition Aide will prepare cold items for patient meals, deliver patient meals, store food and supplies, wash and store dishes, complete assigned cleaning. Provides patients with menu choices that meet the prescribed diet and are within established guidelines. Logs information for patient meals, catered events, complementary meals, guests, and cafe.
Accountabilities/Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of meals.
- Deliver patient meals following established service and safety guidelines.
- Retrieve, wash and store dishes following established guidelines.
- Complete assigned cleaning per schedule.
- Communicate with the cook, aides, and diet clerk in each position to maintain the safety, timeliness, and quality of meals and food items.
- Stock patient care areas.
- Prepare and assemble items for café.
- Prepare and serve café items.
- Utilize cashiering system.
- Assist in storing food and supplies in the department.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work area
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year experience in food and customer service-related area.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
