Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property maintenance and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining a safe and functional environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of units and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems.
- Utilize Entrata to track work orders.
- Supervise and coordinate with other maintenance staff as needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Fabricate components or structures as required for repairs or improvements.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Use tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and ensure proper function.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics.
- Familiarity with Entrata is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Experience in supervising maintenance staff is a plus.
- Proficiency in multifamily painting techniques is desirable.
