Position Summary:
The Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the community, ensuring compliance with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of care and service for residents, while also managing census goals and operating within budgetary guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure community operations remain fully compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Adhere to and enforce all internal company policies and procedures.
- Use independent judgment and discretion to support risk management and quality assurance efforts, ensuring best practices in Assisted Living.
- Oversee financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and payroll, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Monitor operational performance regularly and address any deficiencies through proactive management and self-assessments.
- Lead and motivate staff to work cohesively as a team, fostering a culture that aligns with company values and standards.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing leadership team committed to delivering exceptional care and customer service.
- Establish and maintain effective internal communication systems and processes for addressing resident and family concerns.
- Ensure timely resolution of all resident and staff grievances.
- Lead disciplinary processes when necessary, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Actively participate in the hiring process and ensure comprehensive training programs are in place.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents are met consistently.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment for both employees and residents.
- Drive census growth through community engagement, reputation building, and the leadership of a results-driven admissions team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare setting.
- Must meet applicable licensing and regulatory requirements for administrators (state-specific).
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare regulations and operational standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact diplomatically with residents, families, staff, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Experience in team leadership and performance management.
- Solid financial management and budgetary oversight capabilities.
- Deep understanding of the needs of elderly individuals, including physical, emotional, and social considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold and improve resident care and service standards.
- Comfortable representing the organization in community and public settings.
Education & Certifications:
- Administrator license preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Active membership or participation in the American College of Health Care Administrators preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
