Job description:

Plaintiff's personal injury firm seeks an attorney to handle personal injury cases in our Modesto office. We are looking for someone who has strong people skills, is very organized and detail oriented, is a self-starter, is able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. This position does not involve litigation work.

Qualifications:

Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Understanding of Tort/PI law.

1+ years of personal injury experience preferred, however we are willing to train.

Bilingual Spanish a PLUS!

What will you be doing?

After a comprehensive training program, under the direction of the Managing Attorney, you will be:

Working with a team of case managers answering their questions, making sure clients are getting the medical treatment they need, making sure all avenues of insurance and recovery are explored, and making sure cases are moving towards the demand phase.

Communicating with clients at least every 30-90 days.

Reviewing cases to determine the case value, identifying all potential defendants, determining if there is evidence that needs to be preserved and if any experts and/or investigators should be hired.

Determining the general strategy of the case depending on the facts.

Reviewing and revising demand packages which would include reviewing and summarizing medical records and other documents.

Reviewing and revising drafts of complaints, public entity claim forms, case management conference statements, minors’ compromise petitions, and other documents.

Attend court hearings including case management conferences and minors’ compromise hearings.

Some supervision of team members.
