What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Performing work with efficiency and accuracy.
- Diagnosing the cause of malfunction and performs the needed repair
- Communicating with Parts Vendor to obtain the needed parts
- Determining labor rates for repairs per Labor Vendor resources.
- Ordering tools as required and in stock supplies for example oil
- Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Provide estimates to repair vehicles and send for approval
- Managing the list of vehicles that did not run on auction day to determine if repairs are needed
- Attending factory sponsored training classes
- Following federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes
What are the requirements for this job?
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- ASE certification(s) are preferred.
- At least four years automotive experience is preferred.
- Ability to use an on board scanner to check engine systems.
- Experience with AutoIMS software a plus.
- Must complete the NAAA structural analysis training and maintain certification for the duration of this position.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop and crouch.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Must have valid in-state driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
