As a B2B Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for overall sales and relationship management efforts for existing and prospective wholesale customers. This newly established position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our wholesale business as we expand into restaurants, hotels, spas, gyms, golf courses, and coffee shops.
The Path Forward: You'll start with inside sales, be trained by our contracted outside sales team, and eventually take over the entire sales function - both inside and outside responsibilities. This is a startup environment where driving results quickly is essential to our growth.
Pursuing New Customers
- Making 30-50 calls per day to convert warm leads from our contracted outside sales team across the lower 48 states
- Researching prospective customers within your national territory
- Developing sales strategies that highlight Frozen Garden's real food products, mission, and solutions
- Meeting with potential customers (primarily via phone, with occasional in-person meetings as needed) to understand their needs and present Frozen Garden offerings
- Representing our brand with integrity and professionalism in all customer interactions
Deepen and Strengthen Existing Customer Relationships
- Conducting regular check-ins with existing wholesale customers
- Performing business reviews to identify customer needs and growth opportunities
- Providing ongoing education about Frozen Garden's product offerings and benefits
- Identifying opportunities where Frozen Garden can add value to customers' businesses
- Building trust through authentic relationships and exceptional service
Sales Management
- Balancing new customer acquisition with strengthening existing customer relationships
- Tracking sales activities and reporting on performance metrics
- Analyzing sales data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities
- Coordinating customer visits and maintaining organized follow-up processes
- Collaborating with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to support customer needs
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas
Sales Training - Getting You Ready
Our goal is to set you up for success while driving immediate results! You'll be trained directly by our experienced contracted outside sales team with a clear transition plan:
Phase 1 - Inside Sales Mastery:
- Work closely with our contracted outside sales team to learn our systems and processes
- Master our product lineup and value proposition for wholesale customers
- Start closing warm leads from our established pipeline
- Learn territory management and customer relationship strategies
Phase 2 - Transition to Full Ownership:
- Begin taking over both inside and outside sales responsibilities
- Gradually assume full sales management from contracted team
- Drive new customer acquisition while maintaining existing relationships
- Establish yourself as the primary Frozen Garden wholesale contact
What You'll Master:
- Frozen Garden's systems and processes for customer relationship management
- Deep product knowledge and how to communicate our real food value proposition
- Effective territory management and pipeline development strategies
- Best practices for developing relationships with current and prospective customers
Position Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2-3 years of inside sales experience (B2B preferred, strong B2C considered)
- Proven track record of meeting sales goals and targets quickly
- Strong communication skills and comfort with high-volume calling
- Interest in transitioning to outside sales responsibilities
- Self-motivated with exceptional ability to work independently
- Results-driven mindset - able to drive growth quickly in a startup environment
- Located in Northwest Indiana or Chicagoland area (territory covers lower 48 states, but local presence essential for product training, team collaboration, and business development)
- Reliable transportation for occasional travel and in-person meetings as needed
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- B2B sales experience in food service, hospitality, or wellness industries
- Knowledge of the hospitality market
