Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records through double-entry bookkeeping practices
- Prepare and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Generate financial reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial status
- Assist in budgeting and account analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure adherence to GAAP standards in all accounting practices
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Construction Knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, public accounting, and governmental accounting principles
- Experience with financial report writing and technical accounting concepts
- Knowledge of account reconciliation processes including debits & credits, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate bookkeeping
- Ability to work with financial concepts such as budgeting and account analysis
