Bookkeeper Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Bookkeeper to manage the books of a busy brand new Mobile Home Dealership. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience utilizing QuickBooks software, have a high attention to detail, be organized, and possesses proven data entry skills.
Pay Schedule:
$22 to $25 / hour (Depending on Experience)
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
- Complies with current chart of accounts and established bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Billing out daily jobs.
- Following up on past due collections and ensuring collection of payments.
- Maintains general ledger and accounts by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger and accounts by reconciling entries daily.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents in their appropriate location.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
· Minimum 4 years’ experience in an office setting
· Proficient with Microsoft Office software
· Excellent utilizing QuickBooks software
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
8am – 5pm; with 1 hour for lunch
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
