Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern or recent college graduate to bring my bookkeeping up to date and then stay on for the monthly updating. The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or working towards a degree in accounting or bookkeeping.
- At least one year experience with Quickbooks and possibly have taken some certification courses.
- Once caught up the hours would substantially reduce to about 8 hours pr month.
Stay on as an administrative assistant in various entry level roles assisting the owner directly, data entry, follow up calls and emails, document gathering and quoting.
Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Associate receipts and invoices with the appropriate checking account or credit statement. There are multiple checking account and credit card statements.
- Print out invoices and receipts and organize with printed statement.
- Open mail and organize invoices and bank auto withdrawal confirmations.
- Use QuickBooks to handle the bookkeeping. Upload bank and credit card statements into QuickBooks. Produce income and balance sheet monthly reports.
- Reconcile all accounts.
- For rental property understand when if an invoice or receipt should be capitalized or expensed.
- Keep files neat and organized. Create new quarterly files and file labels as needed.
- Flexible with duties. Candidate could be asked to help resolve billing issues, track employee's time off,
- Bookkeeping back log into 2023. Bring bookkeeping up to date. Bonus for doing so.
- Print receipts and invoices. Open mail that has monthly statement.
Option:
- If you lack QuickBooks experience, but want some entry level field experience, I could delay the Quickbooks work. You would just work on organizing the receipts and statements.
- I would then hire an experienced bookkeeper to handle Quickbooks.
- Then bring you on slowly while you train and get certified..
- I would want this individual to stay on in an administrative capacity.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
