About the role

DNV is seeking a Business Development Manager.

This role would be serving the Energy Systems' Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) team.

This role will be based out of our Houston, TX DNV office, or in any of DNV's offices in the United States.

Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) is critical to meeting the climate goals of companies and countries alike. It is anticipated that CCUS deployment will grow significantly in the coming years. DNV has a strong track record in CCUS built on the performance of key research, the development of related Recommended Practice and delivery of advisory and verification services worldwide.

The CCUS Venture is a Global Team responsible for growing DNV s CCUS business through strategic growth initiatives and the introduction of innovative new solutions. Reporting to the Global Segment Lead CCUS, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in growing DNV s CCUS business in the North America region as well as supporting global initiatives within the CCUS Venture.

What You'll Do

  • Leading local sales for the CCUS Venture in North America.
  • Presenting DNV s CCUS advisory and verification capabilities.
  • Identifying and nurturing customer relationships, discovering needs and positioning DNV as a preferred partner.
  • Working closely with regional and global CCUS experts to develop proposals, secure and deliver client projects.
  • Contributing to strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Developing a relevant internal and external network.
  • Developing knowledge of competitors and DNV s relative strengths and weaknesses.
  • Maintaining records in DNV s CRM system.
  • Contribution to innovation and development of new products and services.

About you

What is Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area.
  • Proven experience in the use of CRM Systems such as Salesforce.
  • Strong track record in sales/business development in the energy sector.
  • Domain knowledge and experience in CCUS or a related field.
  • Dedicates sales mindset.
  • Behavioral flexibility to build customer relationships, adapt easily, coach and influence.
  • Persuasive and persistent.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
