Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to our 24/7 client. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, including dementia and memory care, and will be skilled in assisting clients with daily living activities. This role requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to manage various behavioral needs while ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. We will have 2 shifts 8 am - 8 pm and 8pm - 8 am.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
- Provide medication administration according to prescribed schedules.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are free from hazards.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to create personalized care plans that meet the individual needs of each client.
- Document daily activities and any significant changes in client condition or behavior.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and medication administration protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
