The Cherokee Fellows Program is a highly selective leadership development initiative designed to cultivate exceptional talent with a focus on investments, business growth, and service to the Cherokee Nation. In partnership with Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) and its private equity affiliates, Fellows gain a rare opportunity to understand how businesses are acquired, improved, and positioned for long-term success.
Only candidates with exceptional analytical ability, demonstrated leadership potential, and a passion for finance will be considered for this prestigious program. Throughout their journey, Fellows are supported by tailored training, executive mentorship, and access to a powerful professional network.
This immersive experience provides not only career acceleration but also the opportunity to contribute directly to the economic prosperity and sovereignty of the Cherokee Nation.
The program is structured in three phases:
- Foundation at CNB: Fellows begin by exploring the Power of Purpose of Cherokee Nation Businesses while working as an analyst in Cherokee Investment Management.
- Private Equity Secondment: Fellows then join one of CNB’s private equity partners, working alongside investment professionals to gain hands-on exposure to investment analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, portfolio company management, and value creation strategies.
- Graduate Sponsorship & Return: With the support of CNB, select Fellows will be given the opportunity to pursue graduate studies to deepen their expertise. Upon completion, Fellows return to CNB with a service commitment, applying their advanced skills to drive growth and impact.
