Capstone Family Physicians in Wasilla, Alaska, is looking to hire a skilled and professional Clinic Manager!
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
What You’ll Do:
The Clinic Manager is an exempt, mid-level management position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic. This role ensures the effective execution of organizational policies, procedures, and workflows while supporting clinical and administrative staff. The Clinic Manager plays a key role in maintaining quality patient care, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with the organization’s goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising administrative and clinical support staff.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and coordinating equipment procurement and maintenance.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, monitoring progress, and following up on work results.
- Approves and/or denies employee timecards and leave requests in accordance with company policies.
- Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying operational trends.
- Oversees daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow, timely service, and quality care delivery.
- Monitors and manages clinic budgets, expenses, and resource utilization in collaboration with leadership.
- Provides leadership, mentorship, and support to clinic staff, fostering a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellence and accountability.
- Coordinates provider schedules, optimizes appointment availability, and manages patient access to care.
- Acts as a liaison between staff, providers, patients, and other departments to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of concerns.
- Oversees and maintains EMR/EHR workflows, ensuring accurate documentation and providing support or training to staff as needed.
- Assists with hiring, onboarding, and training of new clinic employees in coordination with Human Resources.
- Tracks performance metrics and operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting findings to senior leadership.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has supervisory responsibilities, including administrative and clinical support teams. This includes scheduling, assigning tasks, approving timecards and leave requests, providing performance feedback, and supporting professional development. The manager ensures accountability, fosters a collaborative work environment, and serves as the primary point of contact for resolving staff concerns and operational issues.
What You Need For This Job:
- An Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of two to four years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical or medical office setting is required. This experience should include exposure to areas such as patient flow coordination, staff supervision, scheduling, billing processes, or compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Must reside in or near Wasilla, Alaska.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Database software, internet software, and word processing software.
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands or feel, talk, and hear. Ability to occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardization situations.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
