Seiler Instrument & Mfg. Co., Inc. is in search of a detail oriented individual to join our Quality Control team. This position will provide quality assurance activities for all products, parts, and materials used in the fabrication of finished goods at Seiler Instrument Manufacturing Division. These activities are to be conducted in accordance with all applicable department procedures and work instructions to ensure customer satisfaction regarding contracts, specifications, drawings and standards

Shift Time: 3:20 PM - 1:50 AM
Workdays: Monday-Thursday (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OFF!)

Responsibilities include:
- Operate testing equipment and basic Inspection Equipment.
- Inspect all incoming products to be used in fabrication and assembly of instruments.
- Inspect all castings, 1st articles, and in process inspections to ensure acceptance.
- Interpret drawings and dimensions to make component dimensional checks and assure proper component compliance.
- Complete documentation, records and information as required for each component, including entering the data into computers.
- Responsible for calibration of equipment to written specifications.
- Interpret drawings and understand specifications.
- Use test equipment, including CMM and optical comparator instruments.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of a GED and 5 years’ experience in Quality Control or a related field, i.e., machine shop operations or tool and die environment.
- Associates must have general knowledge of machine shop practices, mathematical ability, measuring skills, and combined informational analysis capability leading to quality decisions.
- General understanding of electronics, test fixtures, testing instrumentation, and optical measurements are important to this position and its responsibilities.
- Candidate must have good communication skills in order to share information with other departments.
- A familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and computer data entry skills are required.
- Be familiar with documentation processing, certificates of conformance, departmental procedure conformance, and ISO conformance.
- All work must be conducted in a safe manner safeguarding themselves and those in the vicinity of the work area
- Lifting of a wide range of weight may be required on an infrequent basis
