Job Summary
The Communications Officer plays a critical role in ensuring effective communication within the organization and with clients. This position requires an individual who can manage incoming communications, provide accurate information, and coordinate responses in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly personality, strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls, texts, and emails with a polite demeanor that prioritizes customer service and rapid assessment/response.
- Will have to learn fundamentals related to electrical construction to effectively understand and communicate.
- Maintain accurate data entry and transcription of communications for record-keeping purposes.
- Engage in conflict management and negotiation when dealing with challenging callers.
- Collaborate with employees for note follow up, eta, and scheduling questions.
- Provide support for dispatching services as needed, like pulling permits, following up with utility and specialty requests
- Uphold security protocols while managing sensitive information related to communications.
Requirements
- Previous relatable experience required.
- Strong typing skills.
- Proficient in using multi-line phone systems and demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Strong analysis skills to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Experience in conflict management and negotiation techniques is beneficial.
- Knowledge of dispatching procedures is an advantage but not mandatory.
