JOB DESCRIPTION

Regions Hospital has an opportunity for a Control Desk Operating Room Coordinator to join our team!

Under the direction of the Perianesthesia Manager and Supervisors, the OR Coordinator functions as an active member of the Surgical Services support team. This individual contributor works collaboratively with Surgical staff to coordinate perioperative care of surgical patients and communicate with patients/families. This role requires a high level of competence in utilizing complex specialized OR and other computer systems, excellent telephone etiquette, and strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus. Specific areas of responsibility will be assigned most of the time; however, will be assigned to cover all areas as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of computer/data entry experience. Medical or surgical background preferred.
