Job description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Lab Technician to join our Research & Development team at Clinical Resolution Laboratory. The successful candidate will support the development of innovative skincare products by conducting laboratory experiments, performing routine tests, proper documentation, and assisting in the formulation of new products. This position requires a strong passion for skincare, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation Support: Assist in the formulation of skincare products, including creams, lotions, serums, and cleansers, by accurately weighing and mixing raw materials according to established protocols.
- Laboratory Testing: Conduct routine laboratory tests, including pH measurements, viscosity testing, and stability testing to evaluate the quality and performance of formulations.
- Data Recording and Analysis: Accurately document experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems. Assist in the analysis and interpretation of data to support product development decisions.
- Change Control Documentation: Take primary responsibility for managing change control documentation related to product formulations, processes, and lab procedures. Ensure that all changes are thoroughly documented, reviewed, and approved according to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Sample Preparation: Prepare product samples for internal evaluations, stability studies, and external testing, ensuring consistency and quality across batches.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly. Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of raw materials, chemicals, and laboratory supplies. Place orders as needed to ensure the continuous availability of necessary materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D team, including chemists and formulators, to support the development and optimization of new skincare products. Provide input and feedback during product development meetings.

Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the cosmetics or skincare industry. Experience with formulation and product development is a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulation processes.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with laboratory data management software.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
