Job Summary
The County Manager Assistant supports the County Manager, performs receptionist duties, and collaborates with the County Onboarding Specialist to complete daily operational tasks for their assigned county.
Essential Duties:
Employee Support
- Assist employees with general software/system questions.
- Contact employees regarding incomplete training, expired licenses/certifications, or other compliance issues.
- Support employee retention through timely communication and a positive work environment.
County Manager Assistant Duties
- Review DSP applications, schedule interviews, and conduct interviews when the County Manager is unavailable.
- Communicate applicant updates to the County Onboarding Specialist.
- Conduct the ISP Review portion of DSP Orientation when needed.
Individual Onboarding
- Schedule and assist with onboarding meetings for Individuals, families, or guardians.
- Help match DSPs to Individuals in need of supports.
- Attend Meet & Greets if the County Manager is unavailable.
- Collect and review all onboarding paperwork from the Case Management Entity (CME) and ensure completion prior to submission.
Records & Compliance
- Train DSPs on new, revised, or annual Individual Service Plans (ISPs) when the County Manager is unavailable.
- Process ISP acknowledgement documentation.
- Assist in resolving compliance issues by reviewing Premier policies and government regulations with relevant parties.
- Draft, audit, and ensure timely upload of assigned documentation.
DSP Management
- Assist with retraining staff on systems, progress notes, incident reports, etc.
- Provide ongoing support to DSPs and address concerns.
- Assist with covering shifts during DSP vacations, leaves, or call-outs.
General Responsibilities
- Submit monthly purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized office.
- Attend all scheduled meetings on time and prepared.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Individuals-served, families, community members, PCS staff, and government agencies.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

10. Anticipates future needs and develops plans to address them proactively.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 years working with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. A functional understanding of local human service agency operations.2. Possess effective conflict resolution skills, problem solving skills, deductive reasoning, and leadership skills.3. Strong written and verbal communication skills using tact, courtesy, and cooperativeness.4. Basic computer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge, the ability to use standard office equipment and quickly learn new software programs.5. Ability to perform basic math functions.6. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, critical thinking and draw valid conclusions.7. Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity, and initiative.8. Ability to perform instruction, monitoring, and assessment of the work of others.9. Ability to travel locally and out of the area.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
1. Valid driver license, car insurance, and reliable transportation required.
