What is a Customer Service Representative or Patient Advocate for IME Guards?
A patient advocate for IME Guards will accompany a claimant (injury victim) during a medical appointment given by a doctor hired by a defense lawyer in a lawsuit. The appointments take place mostly in the Bronx, Westchester, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
What qualities does a Patient Advocate possess?
- Patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative;
- Detail-oriented;
- Punctual and professional;
- Assertive but not contentious;
Responsibilities
- Meet the claimant at doctor’s office;
- Make a detailed hand-written record of the IME;
- Create a computerized report of the IME; and
- Submit the report in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Strong communication and listening skills;
- Proficient with Microsoft Word;
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities;
- High school diploma or higher;
- Owns a car, not required but a big plus; and
- Fluent Spanish is not required but a huge plus;
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
