In This Role
As a Data Engineer within a leading gaming platform, you will work with large-scale data to drive insights that power key products and services. You will focus on translating data requests into actionable tasks, processing and visualizing data, and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners. This is a hands-on, technical role with a strong emphasis on working independently to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Translate incoming data requests into a structured plan of individual tasks and timelines.
- Execute data processing using SQL, Kusto Query Language (KQL), and related tools.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations to support product and business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, heads-down work environment.
- Support general data engineering initiatives within the company’s tech stack.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL and data processing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data visualization.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack, including Azure services, is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the gaming or technology industry.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
- Familiarity with processing large-scale datasets.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $28.84 - $33.65 USD/hourly. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
