The Database Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's database systems to ensure data integrity, performance, and security. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that support business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement database solutions to support business applications and data analysis
- Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and data integration processes
- Ensure database performance, availability, and security
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database queries and ensure data integrity
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, and implement corrective actions
- Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry best practices

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database design, development, and administration
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
