JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for receiving and managing all plan review submissions for residential, commercial, and subdivision projects. It also involves coordinating the distribution of plans to the appropriate departments for review and acting as a point of contact between reviewers and developers to ensure all required information is provided.
MAJOR DUTIES
· Reviews submittals to make sure they are complete, communicates with developers about issues or progress, and compiles comments and recommendations as needed.
· Assist with the daily operations of the department’s plan review and permitting software. Manages online plan submissions and permitting services, assists the public with their accounts, and maintains email lists for automated public reports.
· Supports coordination of pre-application and pre-construction meetings between applicants and the Town’s review departments.
· Communicates with staff and applicants via phone, email, and in person to provide guidance on required forms, documentation, and instructions for submitting and accessing projects through the software.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· A high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in permitting, licensing, zoning, or working with regulations and ordinances.
· Experience in construction, real estate, or a closely related field is preferred.
· An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered if it provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
· International Code Conference (ICC) Permit Technician Certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within two years of employment.
