We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to build our financial planning and analysis function. This role will play a critical part in driving our financial performance through insightful forecasting, strategic planning, and business case support. You will partner closely with executive leadership, including the CEO, and work cross-functionally to build a disciplined financial cadence and support decision-making across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the development of short and long-term financial forecasts, scenario modeling, and strategic financial plans
- Own the annual budget process, partnering with business leaders to align strategic goals
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting, identifying key trends and drivers
Financial Cadence & Strategic Reviews
- Establish and manage company’s KPI reviews, including weekly and monthly with key stakeholders
- Prepare executive-level presentations for CEO updates, board materials, and strategic initiative reviews
- Analyze business performance against goals and initiatives, providing recommendations to drive improvement
Business Case Development & Decision Support
- Support the development, modeling, and business case evaluation for initiatives and investments
- Define success metrics and partner with business owners to track ROI and performance
Advisor Compensation & Partnership
- Track and analyze advisor compensation plans, ensuring accurate payments and alignment with business performance
- Partner with advisors to help them understand compensation components, financial outcomes, and incentive structures
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, MBA or CPA is a plus
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis
- Exceptional Excel modeling skills and proficiency in financial systems
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial topics clearly
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and drive process improvements
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
- Ability to report to the Charlotte, NC office on a hybrid schedule
