About the Team

The DoorDash Recruiting Team is focused on building DoorDash culture, one quality hire at a time.

We're looking for a Director of Technical Recruiting to lead our Engineering recruiting efforts. DoorDash is growing and scaling at an unprecedented rate, and you will play a critical role in shaping the technical recruiting function as we build to fully realize DoorDash’s mission: to grow and empower local economies. We’re focused on improvement — from moving faster to leveling up the quality of our product — and our work is never complete. If you’re looking to define your career as part of something greater than yourself, come scale with us.

About the Role

The Director of Technical Recruiting - Engineering will be responsible for developing and driving a scalable recruiting strategy to support our growing Engineering organization. In this role, you’ll lead hiring strategy and execution in close partnership with Engineering leadership.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Lead DoorDash’s global engineering recruiting strategy with a focus on attracting top, diverse technical talent to meet both current and future organizational needs.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team of Engineering Recruiting Managers and their teams.
  • Attract, grow, and retain recruiting talent across all levels, cultivating deep industry knowledge, operational rigor, and a culture of innovation.
  • Establish and drive recruiting forecasting, analytics, and reporting processes to track key performance indicators and team OKRs (objectives and key results).
  • Deliver ongoing insights to track progress, hiring quality, and the cost-effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Leverage data to uncover trends and continuously optimize the team’s strategy and impact.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders and hiring managers on how to effectively attract, assess, and hire top-tier technical talent.
  • Design and refine scalable processes, tools, and systems to support a global recruiting organization at scale.
  • Champion proactive hiring strategies that align with organizational design, succession planning, and long-term pipeline needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to amplify DoorDash’s employment brand and build strategic engagement opportunities with prospective talent pools globally.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You are a seasoned and strategic recruiting leader with deep experience in engineering hiring and a track record of owning and scaling end-to-end recruiting programs.
  • You bring at least 12 years of recruiting experience, including leading high-performing, global teams and managing other managers.
  • You create clear separation between your scope and that of your leads, bringing executive-level perspective, long-range thinking, and the ability to guide the team through complexity.
  • Recruiters are drawn to your leadership. You build trust quickly and form strong partnerships across all levels and functions.
  • You are data-informed, action-oriented, and always focused on driving impact through smart, scalable recruiting practices.
  • You are committed to building diverse teams and have experience leading inclusive hiring strategies that make a measurable difference.

We expect this position to be filled by 9/17/25.
