Position Summary:
The Dog Daycare Wizard is responsible for the supervision, safety, and enrichment of dogs in group play settings. This position ensures a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for dogs and provides excellent customer service to pet owners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise dogs in group play while maintaining a safe and positive environment.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary, using approved techniques.
- Clean and sanitize play yards, equipment, and suites throughout the day.
- Feed and administer medication according to owner instructions.
- Perform wellness checks and report any abnormalities to management.
- Engage in enrichment activities such as scent work, puzzle play, or training games.
- Communicate with coworkers and clients in a professional, friendly manner.
- Assist with end-of-day report cards and client updates.
- Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
- Follow all safety and handling protocols at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with dogs in a daycare, kennel, shelter, or training environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of dog body language and group play dynamics.
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and handle active dogs.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional animal care training a plus.
