Qualified individuals will be local to Wilmington North Carolina, client-site and available on-site five days per week.
What this job involves –
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager directs the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of JLL EHS management systems and small capital projects at client facilities. You will provide guidance, identify necessary resources and equipment to implement EHS management systems and compliance programs across three client locations. As the EHS Manager, you'll advise the JLL management team on EHS issues, evaluate potential hazards and environmental impacts, conduct accident investigations, and ensure JLL maintains compliance with all regulatory and client requirements.
What is your day to day?
- Providing leadership for EHS management systems and compliance programs at client sites
- Conducting field assessments of contractor projects and activities
- Establishing EHS performance goals with JLL Site Teams and tracking metrics against key performance indicators
- Leading the implementation of appropriate EHS Committees based on site needs
- Developing and managing EHS qualification programs for JLL service partners
- Evaluating and mitigating safety, health, and environmental hazards at client locations
- Creating and maintaining inspection programs with regular schedules
- Identifying training requirements and coordinating sessions to meet regulatory and client needs
- Assisting with accident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions
- Maintaining collaborative partnerships with client EHS organizations
- Provide support to Client HSE Team by conducting selected HSE activities as agreed by JLL and the client HSE.
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
- 5+ years of experience with EHS compliance and management systems, preferably in facility operations
- Broad knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety regulations in both general industry and construction
- Radiation Safety experience
- Proven success working with subcontractors/vendors on safety objectives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with word processing and database applications
- Data analysis skills to identify EHS trends
- Ability to inspect both indoor and outdoor areas for compliance
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or related field
- Master's degree or a professional designation like OHST, ASP, or CSP is desirable.
