Benefits Category: This is an hourly, non-exempt, full time position reporting to the Employment Services Community Supports Manager. Benefits and PTO eligible. ESOP benefits upon meeting plan entry requirements.
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 32 hours of direct care per pay period. Weekends and holidays as needed.
What you will bring to our team:
The right person for this position will possess a participatory leadership style and support individual employment plans. They may have experience with developing service outcomes and supervising staff. They will have the ability to acquire an understanding of all applicable rules, regulations and company policies.
- Valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record check.
- Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies.
- Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the physical assessment.
- Possess good oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.
- Able to read and write in English.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook Express and Internet Explorer.
Must also meet the qualification of a Designated Coordinator which includes any of the following:
- A Bachelor's degree in a field related to human services and 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to individuals with disabilities or individuals age 65 or older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, and 2 years full-time work experience providing direct care services to individuals with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three (3) years full-time work experience providing direct care services to individuals with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four (4) years full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in the one of the bullet points listed above.
An Employment Services Community Support Supervisor is responsible for supervising and training direct care staff that support people with disabilities to find competitive employment by exploring career opportunities, developing job skills, and supporting person on job site. The are responsible for ensuring compliance to all federal and state regulations, and that high quality services are provided to persons served.
- Monitoring the quality of the staff implementation and ensuring all program responsibilities are completed.
- Be able to professionally communicate and coordinate with local businesses to support individual's employment needs.
- Supporting individuals with disabilities to find competitive employment by exploring career opportunities, developing job skills and supporting the individual on the job site.
- Provide information to the person’s team regarding their progress in employment.
- To assist in the implementation of EON, Inc.’s organizational goals and philosophies so they are consistently carried out.
- To supervise direct care staff.
- To work direct care a minimum of 16 hours per week.
- Other duties as assigned.
