Boss Display maintains an environment of quality-orientated employees, which is reflected in our leading position in the market. We are currently seeking a full-time Exhibit Painter to join our team.
Job Description
The Exhibit Painter prepares and paints a wide variety of materials that are used to create new interactive exhibits and structures to specification. Painters coordinate with Project Managers, Drafters, Designers, CNC operators, Cabinet Makers & Exhibit Fabricators, Metal Fabricators, and Outside Vendors throughout this process.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal, wood, and plastic parts for primer/sealer
- Prime, seal, and sand parts as required
- Mix paint using Matthews Paint Intermix System
- Finish paint with catalyzed automotive paint
- Inspect finished parts and touch up where needed
- Prepare touch up kits for finished products
- Help out with general fabrication when available
- Perform general maintenance on tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, maintaining OSHA compliance through work practice
- Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and managers, and politeness to clients and vendors
- Other duties or special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years paint experience in an auto body shop or similar
- Wide knowledge and skills in spraying of catalyzed paint: prepping, mixing, spraying, and cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Ability to follow and maintain high quality standards
- Waterborne paint experience is a plus
- Knowledge in cleaning , sanding, filling, and body working of parts
- Experience in masking and taping of parts
- Some knowledge and experience using various hand tools, power tools, various saws, routers, and drills
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work from lifts, ladders and high platforms
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Inventive spirit, initiative to work alone without direct supervision, and be responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Good communication skills, positive attitude, and be able to succeed in a team environment

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
