Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our properties by ensuring a fresh and visually appealing appearance through expert painting and finishing.
Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
- Apply primers or sealers to prepare surfaces for the final coat.
- Paint Application:
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes to various surfaces.
- Ensure proper coverage and quality of workmanship.
- Repair and Maintenance:
- Identify and repair damaged areas on surfaces before applying paint.
- Perform routine maintenance on painting tools and equipment.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect work for consistency and quality, making any necessary touch-ups.
- Ensure that work meets the established standards and specifications.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to coordinate painting projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members and residents when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a professional painter in residential or commercial settings.
- Solid knowledge of painting techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in painting or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work at heights when necessary.
