JOB TITLE Fabric Cutting Production Associate
What does this role contribute to the Company?
BLOC Blinds Manufacturing, LLC are looking for Fabric Cutting production associate to join our team in DFW. As our Fabric Cutter you will be response for accurately and efficiently cutting fabric for the window shades industry.
What we will ask of you:
· Carryout assigned duties in line with the company’s Operational Procedures.
· Ensure products are being manufactured to a high standard and quality is constantly maintained.
· Work as a member of the wider production team to ensure efficiency, quality and on time dispatch targets are being met.
· Maintain a clean and tidy workstation and/or area.
· The ability to read and understand Standard Work Instructions in the form of text and pictures.
· Operate fabric cutting machine to cut fabric for our window shades
· Carryout basic quality checks, basic maintenance and cleaning of machine.
· Report equipment faults to your designated supervisor.
· Report for work on time and work to the very best of your ability when on site.
· Accurately lay out fabric on machine to cut fabric according to specifications.
· Inspect the fabric for flaws, defects or inconsistencies before and during cutting.
· Dispose of fabric scrap and waste materials according to our company standard operating procedures.
· Participate in efforts to identify and implement improvements in cutting processes and efficiency.
What we are looking for:
Essential
· Experience working within a manufacturing environment or similar.
· Good attention to detail
· Positive can-do attitude
· Willing to learn new processes
· Basic mathematical skills for calculating fabric consumption and waste
· Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
· Ability to read and interpret patterns, markers and production orders.
Be available to work an afternoon shift from 2pm – 11pm Monday – Thursday
Desirable
· Previous fabric cutting experience in a manufacturing environment
· Ability to troubleshoot minor cutting machine issues.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
