Pay Rate: $25-$28 per hour
How You’ll Impact
The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures our restaurants remain safe, functional, and welcoming by demonstrating a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail. Focused on maintaining equipment, performing routine repairs, and supporting operational excellence, this role reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for handling day-to-day maintenance tasks, coordinating with vendors, and helping resolve facilities-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruption.
What You’ll Do
- Performs routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, minor plumbing, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance
- Carries out maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritizes emergency/escalated calls as needed
- Installs and replaces basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs etc.
- Carries out carpentry work, drywall repairs, painting, tile repair/replacement, and basic concrete repair
- Performs manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Completes scheduled preventative maintenance duties in all locations
- Assists operations, as needed, with new restaurant openings set up, remodels, and construction projects
- Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment needed to perform maintenance and repair service
- Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with the Naya team
- Promotes and practices safe work habits, wears protective safety equipment and follows MSDS and OSHA standards
- Maintains an inventory of tools and supplies
- Performs other duties as requested by operations management
Who You Are
- 2+ years of related verifiable work experience
- Basic computer and cell phone knowledge
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration repair, basic plumbing, carpentry, wall repair, flooring/tiles and electrical equipment
- Technical or trade school background preferred but not required
- Refrigeration or HVAC background/certification is a plus
- Ability to:
- Speak, understand, read, and write in English
- Competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand tools
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Communicate clearly with the team, management and vendors
- Lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
- Successfully perform all work duties in fast-paced and challenging work
- environments, maintain professionalism when working under stress
- Work nights, weekends and holidays according to the needs of the business
- Be flexible to respond to emergencies and sudden changes of schedule
- Manage time well and have strong organizational skills
