POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position Title: Grants, Communications & Impact Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director/Director of Development and Communications
Organizational Summary:
The mission of the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) since 1975 is to help women and girls successfully navigate life’s transitions and inspire others to do the same. By providing resources, tools and support for today, we create hope for tomorrow. Our current programs include our longstanding Information & Referral Helpline, low-cost Counseling, low-cost Legal Consultations (family law), Financial Stability Services, and our Girls Lead program. Position Summary:
The Women’s Resource Center in Wayne seeks a part-time, 28 hours/week Grants, Communications & Impact Coordinator to prepare grant applications and reports, manage the grants process, create and schedule social media, assist with special events, help optimize our donor database and support outcomes measurement and program evaluation by implementing and maintaining systems to track and report on the impact of all WRC programs. Must be available to work at the Wayne, PA office up to five days per week and also virtually (hybrid) during the hours of 9am-5pm Monday – Friday (5.6 hours per day). The position is $23/hr with PTO benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Grants
a. Prepare grant proposals
b. Prepare grant reports
c. Manage the grants process, including adhering to a grants schedule
d. Research potential corporate and foundation funding partners
e. Communicate with WRC program staff to inform grant writing proposals
II. Communications
a. Develop and implement plan for social media posting on WRC’s Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X
b. Help with event social media postings
c. Use CANVA to prepare branded social media posts and other communications graphics
d. Assist with creating WRC’s monthly email newsletter
III. Events
a. Sponsor and Guest communications
b. Coordinate with Event Planning Company
c. Help Sponsorship Committee keep track of solicitations
d. Organize and attend Event Committee meetings and take minutes
e. Help with onsite needs on event days
f. Other duties as assigned
IV. Donor Database Maintenance and Optimization
a. Learn best practices to optimize use of donor database DonorPerfect for development
V. Program and Data Support
a. Support outcomes measurement and program evaluation by implementing and maintaining systems for tracking and reporting on service outcomes and impact across all WRC programs
b. Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and tools for program tracking and outcome measurement
c. Coordinate internal reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate evaluation of program impact
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
● Excellent computer skills including experience with: Microsoft Office suite, CANVA, social media platforms, Google Docs, Zoom; Apricot is a plus.
● Attention to detail, strong organizational skills
● Excellent communication skills both written and oral
● Excellent writing skills
● Excellent time management skills
● Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all constituents of WRC’s community.
● Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
● Ability to assist at events, spend long periods of time at a computer, and interact via email and telephone
● Ability to handle information with tact and discretion and to maintain strict confidentiality
● Ability to be available on occasional weekend or evening event set up and participation
