Job Description


The Health Manager- Ancillary Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the following ancillary departments: Veterinary services, Environmental services, Food Safety, Hyperbaric Chamber, Med log, and Dental services. This role will ensure that our facilities are in line with all contractual requirements; additionally, this role with ensure our clinicians have everything they need to provide the highest level of service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures daily operations of veterinary services, environmental services, Food Safety, Hyperbaric chamber, medical logistics, and dental services.
  • Coordinates with Hospital Administrator to help manage general operations, human resources, recruiting, and finances.
  • Plans and prioritizes day to day activities and tasks.
  • Supports working collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and Nurse Manager to provide the highest level of medical care with the resources given.
  • Drives and develops the quality agenda for the ancillary services.
  • Ensures effective on-island medical billing and collections.
  • Ensures effective on-island medical billing, collections, and insurer network agreements Represents International SOS to the Prime and/or government personnel.
  • Works closely with recruiting and HR to ensure adequate staffing and a positive working environment and culture.
  • Respond to contract, facility, and other emergencies.
  • Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications


Basic Requirements/Certifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare administration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Health Services, Health Care Administration, Hospital Administration or related field.
  • Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Health Care, Hospital Administration or advanced professional degree highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write & speak English to effectively communicate
  • This position may be accompanied.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
  • US DOD CNACI or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
