Vital Heart and Vein is the fastest growing independent cardiology practice in Houston. This position is responsible for keeping the books in QuickBooks and processing payroll for 300 employees. The ideal candidate has advanced excel skills, time management and analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication. Must be able to manage competing responsibilities using multiple software systems.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Prepare month end financials, including trend and variance analysis. Prepares slide decks for monthly meetings.
Responsible for payroll processing for all employees of the practice, open enrollment, new hire onboarding, etc.
Works with leaders of the organization to develop new dashboards.
Reviews cost of care and makes recommendations for efficient cost management.
Reconciles cash daily.
Create ad hoc reports in various systems.
Uses critical thinking skills to identify relevant data and escalate findings.
Is organized, multi-tasks and meets all deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to the CFO.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum 3 years work experience.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Demonstratable advanced excel skills.
